What is a Business Profit Score?+

A single 0–100 financial-health index for small-business owners, calculated from five core diagnostics. It comes with a letter grade (A+ to F) and a status — Strong (75+), Watch This (50–74), or Danger Zone (below 50). The assessment takes about five minutes and requires no accounting degree.

How is the Business Profit Score calculated?+

The score blends five core segments: Business Trend Tracker (revenue trend), Pay Your Bills On Time (current ratio), Stronger or Weaker? (sales-trend analysis), Be a Better Strategist (margins), and Profits vs. Cash Reality (profit versus cash flow). Each segment is scored 0–100 and combined into one index, so you always know which lever to pull next.

Is my financial data private?+

Yes — completely. Your financial inputs, assessments, and reports are private to your account. Even MyProfitsScore administrators cannot see your financial information; we only have access to your contact and account details, never your numbers or scores. Nothing is ever shared with unauthorized third parties without your consent. See our Privacy Policy for details.

How long does the assessment take?+

The five core segments take about five minutes and produce your Business Profit Score. The remaining segments are optional resources you can explore any time without finishing the assessment first.

What do I get for free, and what unlocks when I sign up?+

Free, no account: run the 5-minute core assessment and see your Business Profit Score, letter grade, status, and one priority. Sign up (also free) to save assessments and watch your score climb month over month, download the full PDF scorecard, and open the Portal toolkit — working-capital options, payment-processor savings, healthcare alternatives, exclusive services and discounts, weekly scorecard nudges, and financial calculators (break-even, affordability-to-hire, cash-flow forecast). Those extras turn a one-time snapshot into a weekly habit: catch the bottleneck early, fix the single lever that matters this week, and watch the trend climb.

Why this exists

I was a caregiver and business owner, and I wish this existed when I needed it most — so I built it.

I know what it feels like to close the laptop long after the loved ones are in bed, open a spreadsheet, and feel like I'm reading a foreign-language report about my own business. The accountant's numbers feel theoretical. My bank account feels real.

The big tools wanted me to learn accounting before they'd help me. The glossy apps wanted me to track every latte. Neither one told me the only thing I actually wanted to know: "Am I okay? And what do I fix first?"

So I built the very thing I wished existed — one simple score, in five minutes, no accounting degree required. One number that says whether I'm strong, watching, or in the danger zone. And the one priority that would move my number the most this week.

This is for the woman juggling it all — the family, the aging parents, the school pick-ups, your own continuing education, the payroll, the caregiver calls, the mid-night emergencies, and the cash-flow calls. Your numbers shouldn't be an afterthought. They should be a 5-minute habit.
